Freeing the Heart: Anti-Racism and Forgiveness

In the commitment to fostering a more compassionate and understanding world, the offers "Anti-Racism" and "Forgiveness" meditations are free of charge. These sessions aim to encourage empathy, promote healing, and ignite meaningful conversations with self and other, helping us all become better allies and advocates for positive change. Specifically in regards to the Anti-Racism meditation, this serves as an invitation to take time to reflect but also is a reminder that meditation alone does not create change in this world. Right action is required. The forgiveness meditation is the Ho'oponopono Prayer, a Hawaiian prayer whose name translates to ‘to make things move back to balance’. This is a deeply profound prayer and while I struggled with the correctness of making it an offering, given the possibility of potentially appropriating a culture that has been violently disrespected historically, I ended up deciding to create it as I would any of the other meditations (professionally, of course) and accept donations, all of which are sent directly to peoples of Hawaii via the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation. This organization offers affordable legal aid to individuals, families, and communities aiming to safeguard their traditional cultural practices and preserve ancestral connections to their 'āina (land) and precious natural resources.
